Hey guys, thanks for stopping by my humble, little blog!
As you probably guessed, my name is Kimi (or just plain Kim is fine too – I go by both!). I am 31 years old and I live in Phoenix, Arizona with my longtime boyfriend, Zak, and our chiweenie, Luna Lovegood ⚡. I was born in Inchon, South Korea, but soon after I flew to the states to join my adoptive family here in Arizona.
My intention for this blog is to be a safe place to provide you guys with real, honest information on lifestyle, organization, health, travel and lots of other in between tidbits!
Why Did I Start This Blog?
I created my blog, Kimi Was Here, just this year (June 2017) after years (yes, years!) of contemplation.
In 2012, I discovered Pinterest and became incredibly enamored with these savvy, at home blog entrepreneurs that
were are absolutely killin’ it with their content while helping people (like me + you!) and making an income to boot! At that time I worked in a corporate job at a local electric company and had little faith or confidence in putting myself out there for all to see. But, after being let go from my corporate job in 2014 and going through a string of several call center jobs that left me unfulfilled, tired and broke, I finally decided to stop the feelings of insecurity and actually start doing the things I could only dream of.
I titled my blog, Kimi Was Here, as a declaration of existence to myself. For the longest time, I’ve shied away from the spotlight and have been afraid to put myself out there. And that same train of thought is what stopped me years ago from starting a blog. But after turning the big thirty in 2016, I fully comprehend that time will not wait for anyone and you must do the things you want to do NOW, not tomorrow! My biggest fear used to be public spotlights, but now it is a life unfulfilled.
My Promise to You
I have a lot of hopes for this blog – first and foremost is to provide YOU, my readers, with real value. I have a great deal of respect and admiration for the bloggers I follow and it is my highest goal to “pay it forward” with authentic and honest articles that actually help people navigate life (small or big), fulfill their purpose and have a little fun in the process.
